Each of our maple bowls is handcrafted from a single piece of maple by Vermonters using special lathes first invented in 1857. The bowls are turned, sanded, kiln-dried, and treated with food-safe mineral oil that never turns rancid to preserve the hardwood. Features: Hardwood bowls have individual character Available in a 10", 12", 15", or 17" size (sizes are approximate) Also available in a four-piece set (one of each of the sizes listed above) To further seal in the wood's moisture and prevent drying, treat occasionally with mineral oil (8 oz.) Hand-made in Vermont each of our unique maple bowls boasts its own particular grain, color, and "beauty marks." Character we call it.
