Designed using technology developed in 1938 by the Navy and still used by the military today, this Reader's Lamp provides twice as much light to the reading area by reflecting and diffusing all the light downward (with conventional lamps light is scattered upward and wasted). The result is flicker-free and glare-free illumination that reduces eyestrain and increases your ability to see contrasts-like black and white print-so you can read more easily and comfortably. Also available as a floor lamp. Both have brass bases, golden aluminum cups that hold the 100-watt bulb (included), and 8 ft. cords. The desk lamp stands 19 1/2" tall and has a 5" pleated shade. The floor lamp stands 47" tall, adjusts up to 66" tall, and has a 6 1/2" pleated shade. UL listed. (Gift wrap not available.) Features: Produces twice the light as a conventional lamp Reduces eyestrain Flicker- and glare-free Choose the desk lamp, the floor lamp, or both. Can a lamp really help you read more easily? This Reader's Lamp can.
