In 1960 Helene Rochas, the newly coined president of the Rochas haute couture and perfume empire, made a gutsy and brilliant move-she named a fragrance after herself. Madame Rochas was the first scent named in honor of a living person. She worked hand in hand with one of the world's best perfumers to create this romantic scent with its white flower theme and over 200 ingredients including lemon, lily of the valley, Bulgarian rose, jasmine, amber, cedarwood, sandalwood, and musk.
